Moonah Park Aged Care Services
Residents can relax in friendly and welcoming surrounds at Moonah Park Aged Care Services. Located in the convenient suburb of Mitchelton, the facility is close to Brookside Shopping Centre, public transport and local parks.
Accommodation facilities
A newly constructed two-storey building provides both high and low care for 61 permanent and respite residents. Residents have their own room with ensuite facilities, emergency call system and built-in wardrobes, and the building has reverse cycle airconditioning throughout.
Also, currently under renovation, three house-model homes provide accommodation for residents with dementia with spacious bedrooms and private ensuite facilities. Once renovations have been completed, 37 residents will be able to receive specialised care in a secure environment.
Moonah Park has beautiful lawns and gardens and a gazebo to relax in, as well as a playground for visiting children.
A large community hall is used regularly for events and activities on the varied lifestyle program.
Personal care services
Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks. However, if an assessment reveals extra assistance is needed, Care staff are available to help with showering , personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.
There are also Independent Living Units in the grounds, and a range of individually tailored Community Care Packages are managed from the Moonah Park facility.
