Eligibility criteria

To receive subsidised assistance from HAS programs, you need to be:

• living in the geographical area serviced by the program
• 60 years or over and receiving a government pension or benefit
• 60 years or over and self-funded (eligible for free information and referral, not financial assistance)
• of any age with a disability.

How much will it cost?

The service offers free information and referral about home maintenance, repairs, minor modifications, fall prevention and security. Subsidised assistance is available to eligible clients, to fund part, or in some cases all, of the labour costs involved for maintenance, repairs, security related work and minor modifications. All material costs are met by the client.
